study overview

The CAPYBARA study is a research study in Singapore that supports parents and caregivers in nurturing their young children’s learning and development through shared reading, play and everyday conversations.

Early Relational Health refers to the safe, nurturing and responsive relationships that young children develop with their parents or caregivers. These relationships support children’s development and can help buffer the effects of stress and adverse childhood experiences, laying a foundation for lifelong health and well-being (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, 2025).

Guided by Early Relational Health principles, our study aims to strengthen parent-child bonding, early cognitive outcomes, and school readiness.
